WMS Happenings

Coop has been busy with school activities. A few weeks ago he participated in the Spelling Bee. He dropped out with the word "dire" in the 3rd round but seemed to have a good time with all the super spellers.

After that, he sung his heart out in the 5th grade musical. My favorite song was "Everybody Loves Saturday Night".

Last week, the student council ran the annual Talent Show. He didn't showplace any talent but helped sell tickets. I love his spirit of volunteerism.

One other event was the annual Science Fair. Around 100 kids participated and Coop was one of the 1st place finishers. I think he charmed the judges with his congenial personality that he inherited from his equally charming mother. Why are you laughing?

Jefferson Night

It was Jefferson night recently at the Winhawk Basketball game. Kyle wasn't feeling well so Corey took Cam and Coop. Cam wasn't very excited to go but that quickly changed once he got to the game. They sat with our friend, Shannon and her daughter Harper. As if that wasn't exciting enough, Cam saw a lot of his kindergarten buddies. And if THAT wasn't the most exciting thing ever...

...he won a pillow in the halftime drawing. Needless to say, he had a very enjoyable time.

Winter Happenings

Go Vikings! It was fun hanging out with our dear friends. The Vikings lost but the company was great and the food was tasty.

Kyle is doing some early morning fishing with Corey and Gramps.

Supporting Team Vogel at the Chula Vista Taco Feed. Yummy!

Corey took the boys ice skating on the lake. Always fun slip sliding away. The hot chocolate in the lodge is tasty, too.

Our Christmas

Hmmm, wonder what Santa brought for everyone?

Connor and Olivia joined us along with Tim and Gramsie and Gramps.

Silent Night, Holy Night...

Christmas with Corey's Family

We had a house full of Corey's family for Christmas dinner the weekend before Christmas. It was great to have the cousins together.

Cooper is a great sous chef and did a super job keeping us on schedule. Or maybe I was the sous chef.

The cousins opened lots of presents. Lots.

Coop, Grace, Brydon, Cam, Kyle and Landon.

Oreos, Presents , & Paper Footballs, oh my...

Dipping Oreos AND eating them.

Coop can't wait to taste them.

Coop wrapped lots of presents before Christmas.

Going old school.

Ketchup, Catsup, or maybe just Catch Up...

Yikes, one week of company, Christmas celebrations and the stomach bug and the blog moves quickly to the bottom of the priority list. So, here I am back to try to fill in the last month of happenings.

One snowstorm back in December made for some fun times outside with our friend, Cady.

Here is a boy who knows where his bread is buttered.

Cooper makes a cute snowman.

That was the last major snowfall we had and this week the landscape has turned brown. Shucks.

This is what Cam wanted to wear to school but he was afraid the other kids would pick on him. Big brother, Kyle, was very encouraging when he assured Cam that the other kids would most definitely call him a "dork". Needless to say, the jacket stayed in the van and he put it on after school.
